Pat worked in films and TV as actress Barbara Hayden. When she played the lead in an episode of 'Rescue 8' in Hollywood and then went on to write three more episodes, she took the pen name, Pat Silver.
Pat wrote as a team with her late husband, Hollywood screen writer and author, Jesse L. Lasky, Jr., son of the film pioneer Jesse L. Lasky who produced the first full length motion picture in Hollywood, 'The Squaw Man'.
Together, Pat and Jesse wrote 4 books, 8 produced films, nearly 100 produced TV scripts and won several awards. She now writes as Pat Silver-Lasky.
She has lectured on script writing at American Universities, was Script Consultant and lecturer at the London (International) Film School for eight years.
She is currently working on a biographical history of Hollywood seen through the focus of an archive of 450 letters from Jesse Lasky to his son, Jesse Jr. - 'Letters From A Hollywood Mogul'. |
